BASKET SWAMP FALLS !

I feel like I am sharing a secret with this free campground . This 4WD campsite is , like many other free camps , rustic and remote , with a drop toilet , picnic tables and a swing . However , it has a huge bonus : it is a short drive from a waterfall and rock pools !

We thought the free bush campground was a top little spot , especially considering the waterfall was a short drive away .

Reaching the upper pools was easy ; however , it was a steep walk down to see Basket Swamp Falls .

The actual campground and picnic area are in Boonoo State Forest , NSW , hence the free camping . Interestingly , the reason there are so many natural attractions around is because it borders Basket Swamp National Park . Not only that , you are on the beautiful Oracles Way , with two more national parks , bushranger history and World War II relics . You can even climb Australia ’ s largest granite monolith on this route !
