RV FEATURE
There has been a happy ending to the story of Andrea and Blake Pitman , who lost more than $ 83,000 in the collapse of Tango Caravans , as featured in issue 93 of GoRV . While the couple have not had their money returned , as is the case with all the victims of the Tango collapse , they have found a way to finally live their dream .
The couple were devastated when faced with the reality that their dream van , which they had paid for , would never be theirs , and nor would they be able to afford a new one and take the family trip they had long been planning .
“ We have both saved really , really diligently as best we could in the aftermath of the Tango collapse ,” Andrea told GoRV . “ Blake ’ s parents also wanted to gift him some of his inheritance early , driven by a desire to see us fulfil our dream of travelling the country with the kids and with Blake ' s sister and family . This move left us dumbfounded and speechless in its generosity .”
TIME TO MAKE MEMORIES
With the money they had , the couple were looking at purchasing a secondhand van , before they decided to visit Supreme / Leader dealership Australian Caravan Centre .
In the aftermath of the Tango collapse , friends and family loaned the Pitmans all manner of camping gear , including a teardrop van , so they could at least still have some camping adventures .
