Andrew tows the Princess around his large property with a 1962 XK Ford Falcon .
On the drawbar , Andrew has kept the original hydraulic coupling – a general clean-up and re-grease was all it needed . Interestingly , the original weight distribution brackets that Coronet had welded to the A-frame were seized up – Andrew couldn ’ t make them budge – so rather than grind them off and unnecessarily alter the drawbar , he simply cleaned and painted them .
Andrew tows this labour of love around his large property with a 1962 XK Ford Falcon ; however , it ’ s unlikely that you ’ ll ever see the Princess in a caravan park or on the road . This is strictly a showpiece , something to admire and remind us all of Australia ’ s caravanning heritage .
The drawbar sports the original hydraulic coupling .
It has taken its place among Andrew ’ s other restorations and collections , from a 26ft Aerolite bondwood van , to an old Don van and 1976 Statesman .
