Following our four-month caravanning trip , we at Camps Australia Wide have voted Karoonda , SA , as one of the most RV-friendly towns in Australia !
Karoonda Wheat Shuffle is one of two pet-friendly free camps in this small , well-equipped town . I ’ m pretty partial to an art installation , but Karoonda takes the cake .
The free-camp is located at the Karoonda Wheat Shuffle and on the art trail . Built as a tribute to the Mallee grain industry , six old silo pads show off seeding to harvest . There ’ s a tribute to women on the land , a ‘ big ram ’, and even a playground with slides and a flying fox .
