The Quattro allows for slow, precise movement of the van.
Whichever Quattro caravan mover you chose, each comes with the following safety features: an isolation switch to prevent accidental use of the remote control; a double-press‘ on’ button to prevent accidental operation; the control unit will shut down automatically after 60 seconds if the remote control is not used in that time, or if it detects that the mover has worked constantly in one direction for three minutes; there’ s built-in overload protection( current and temperature) with no requirement for a fuse; and the Quattro will automatically brake as soon as the buttons being pressed on the remote control are released.
Another benefit: by engaging a roller onto the wheel, there is no way the van can roll away from you.
They do, however, add some weight to your van that would need to be factored in as part of your payload capacity. The combined weight of each kit, including the brackets and two motors, is about 31kg.
It’ s also important to point out that the Quattro has a safe working load of 1500kg on inclines up to 25 per cent when only two motors are used on the van, and up to 2500kg on a 20 per cent incline when four motors are used.
