TIMBOON ICE CREAM
The next day, we ended up in Timboon. We had been told that Timboon had the best ice cream ever and I do love my ice cream. It also has a lovely op-shop. Right by the door is a model called Molly and one of the lovely women in the shop told me she changed Molly’ s clothes every day. My mum’ s name was Molly – but there the likeness ended.
The Timboon ice cream was next and we will happily repeat it. The day was special as it was our grandson’ s 12th birthday. We celebrated his birthday with an ice cream which – oh, what can I say – I could use every complimentary word possible and still not adequately describe how delicious it was. If you go there, check out the kangaroos outside. They are very friendly.

Later that day, we visited the Twelve Apostles, or however many are left standing. That doesn’ t matter, it’ s still a beautiful spot and well worth walking from the car park, which goes under the road! We’ ve been told they are increasing the size of the car park and given the problems we had getting a space, I understand why.
Peter had heard that there was a cray festival at Port Campbell and he wanted to go. A simple reason: he heard that they had crayfish rolls and he wanted to try one. So we set off. We thought we might have been too late for the parade, but made it just in time.
After that, we decided to walk through the town before getting a crayfish roll. As we went down the road, the parade came back and we saw it all again. How lucky is that!
