A VAN FOR SYLWIA

A couple of years ago, the collapse of Tango Caravans was the talk of the RV community. This collapse was spectacularly devastating, bringing about a new problem for the caravan industry: how to reassure the public that their deposit money was safe.

I’ m not counting the Tango collapse as memorable; rather, it was the response of Nova Caravans to our interview with one Tango victim, Sylwia Logan. Upon seeing the devastation wrought by Tango on one family, Nova stepped up and built the Sylwia and her family a new van for free. It was a generosity we didn’ t expect, and of which the world needs more. To have played a small role in that was, for me, very special.

The RV industry has long been besmirched by dodgy operators, but Nova reminded us all that it is also filled with good people and amazing companies. Nova couldn’ t help everyone, but they could perform one random act of incredible kindness, and it changed lives.
